Russian leader calls for 'a degree of demilitarisation' of Ukraine

(Sharecast News) - Russia's president reportedly called for "a certain degree of demilitarisation" of Ukraine.
In remarks made overnight, Vladimir Putin, said that potential agreements could be "reversed in a second" if "our so-called partners continue to pump the current Kiev authorities with state-of-the-art weapons," Russia's state-owned Tass news agency reported.

Hence in his opinion the need for "a degree of demilitarisation".

Putin also pointed out what he said were Ukraine's "nuclear ambitions" and said that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's remarks to the effect that he did not like the Minsk peace agreements meant that it was possible for the country to walk out on a hypothetical pledge not to join the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation.

However, the latter would mean that Ukraine would have "in fact implemented the idea of neutrality".
