Tekcapital investee Lucyd integrates ChatGPT into app

(Sharecast News) - Intellectual property investor Tekcapital updated the market on its portfolio company Innovative Eyewear on Wednesday after the latter unveiled a significant update to the Lucyd app for Android.
The AIM-traded firm said the update introduced enhanced features and improvements designed to enhance the user experience.

One of the additions to the Lucyd app was the integration of a ChatGPT toolbox, designed to empower users with a variety of valuable capabilities, such as generating text paragraphs from voice prompts, translating English into Spanish, summarising lengthy texts, enhancing text readability, creating email drafts from prompts, and analysing the emotional tone of text.

The tools use pre-defined parameters to expedite the generation of analyses and copywriting by the ChatGPT artificial intelligence engine.

Tekcapital said the Lucyd app's user interface had also undergone an update, featuring smoother graphics and intuitive controls to ensure a more user-friendly interaction.

Textual chat responses were now presented in an updated stream format, providing a more seamless communication experience.

Additionally, the voice quality of the app's text-to-speech functionality had been enhanced, further improving overall usability.

Regarding sharing, the Lucyd app could now export ChatGPT responses to email, SMS, and various social media applications.

Lastly, the Lucyd app is currently in the final stages of approval with Google for enabling. "We are excited to launch the new version of the Lucyd app for Android, which powers seamless voice access to ChatGPT on Lucyd eyewear," said Innovative Eyewear chief executive officer Harrison Gross.

"The new state-of-the-art interface makes the world's most popular AI language model easier to use than ever on our glasses and while on the go.

"We look forward to introducing additional features, a shop, and a pro version of the app in the near future."

Gross said the company also anticipated making the app a "hub" for connecting to multiple AI systems through its glasses with voice control, as outlined in its pending utility patent on the app.

"We believe this will deliver more functionality to our community and foster the development of an additional revenue stream from users of other 'hearables' that want seamless voice access to ChatGPT."

At 1405 GMT, shares in Tekcapital were down 0.35% at 7.47p.
