Directors dealings: Johnson Matthey finance chief picks up shares

(ShareCast News) - Johnson Matthey´s finance chief bought 2,184 shares of the speciality chemicals maker at an individual price of 3,818p, the company said in a statement.
Anna Manz carried out the purchase on 24 November spending a total £69,470.03 in the process.

On 17 November, the outfit said first half pre-tax profits fell 36% to £210m on revenues of £5.6bn, down 2%.

Underlying pre-tax profits on the other hand rose 5% to £219.6m.

The company´s boss, Robert MacLeod, said the firm had a "solid first half, supported by favourable exchange rates, and our health and safety performance improved".

In a research note published the next day, analysts at Deutsche Bank said that with the shares trading on 15 times´ their 2017/18 price-to-earnings multiple they saw "the structural growth as undervalued and have a BUY."
