EVR Holdings appoints new CFO ahead of first live performance on MelodyVR

(Sharecast News) - EVR Holdings added former Universal Music chief financial officer Andy Brown to its number on Friday, where he will assist the Virtual reality content creator with both financial and commercial strategy, as well as with investor and corporate relations.
Bell, who spent more than 22 years with Universal, will be granted options over 4.6m ordinary shares in the AIM-listed outfit at an exercise price of 4.85p each under the company's EMI scheme but will not, initially, appointed to its board.

Current CFO Sebastian Theron will remain with the group until 15 January 2019 to ensure a smooth transition.

Chairman Anthony Matchett, said: "Andy's significant experience, spanning over two decades at one of the world's leading music companies, will prove invaluable."

"I look forward to working with Andy across a number of new initiatives as our company scales opportunities for both content creation and revenue generation."

The firm will live stream a performance from former X-Factor and One Direction personality Liam Payne in virtual reality from a secret London location, exclusively via the MelodyVR platform.

Matchett said: "This is a hugely exciting moment for MelodyVR."

"We look forward to the year ahead and to introducing even more live-events to the MelodyVR platform throughout 2019 and beyond."

As of 0830 GMT, EVR shares had shot up 17.43% to 5.02p.
