Trump concerned about 'real possibility' of being impeached

(Sharecast News) - US President Donald Trump is reportedly concerned there is a "real possibility" he could be impeached once Democrats take the House of Representatives, CNN said on Monday.
A source close to the president told CNN that although Trump is concerned there is a possibility of impeachment, he is not certain it will happen since the Senate remains unturned.
CNN also reported another White House source said that aides inside the West Wing believe "the only issue that may stick" in the impeachment process are Trump's attorney Michael Cohen's payouts to porn star Stormy Daniels (alleged former mistress of the president).
The matter of the president's impeachment has been very present in the media recently after prosecutors in the Southern District of New York claimed in a filing that Cohen was directed by Trump when he broke the law during the 2016 presidential campaign.
According to CNN, democrats are suggesting Trump committed an impeachable offense which could have him sent to prison after his presidency is over.
"There's a very real prospect that on the day Donald Trump leaves office, the Justice Department may indict him. That he may be the first president in quite some time to face the real prospect of jail time," Adam Schiff, Democratic Representative of California, told CBS News over the weekend.
"We have been discussing the issue of pardons the President may offer to people or dangle in front of people. The bigger pardon question may come down the road, as the next president has to determine whether to pardon Donald Trump."
