(Sharecast News) - Labour has accused the business secretary, Greg Clark, of misleading MPs by failing to tell parliament that a £61m package of state aid had been granted to Nissan, despite assuring the Commons that he would do so. Rebecca Long-Bailey, the shadow business secretary, said that as a result the cabinet minister had "dodged scrutiny" over the promises he had made to Nissan in October 2016 to boost manufacturing in Sunderland after Brexit. - Guardian
Airbus has announced it will end production of its flagship A380 superjumbo passenger jet, potentially putting UK jobs at risk. The firm said it had made the "painful" decision after Emirates, the biggest user of the planes, slashed its A380 orders by around a quarter. Due to the reduction and a lack of order backlog with other airlines, Airbus said it would end deliveries of the record-breaking plane in 2021, 14 years after it first entered commercial service. - Guardian

Britain's largest energy broker has collapsed into administration after an eleventh hour lifeline from the company's founder failed to save its 1,000 strong workforce. Utilitywise slumped into administration after rescue talks with potential investors, including its former chairman, fell apart just weeks after it put itself up for sale. - Telegraph

EasyJet has announced that it is in talks with Italian state-controlled railways Ferrovie and Delta Air Lines to form a consortium in an attempt to rescue Italy's troubled carrier Alitalia. The companies would form a partnership that would run Alitalia, which has been under special administration since 2017, after workers rejected a rescue plan and prevented it from raising fresh financing from shareholders. - Telegraph

A former Apple executive has been charged with insider trading after being accused of selling millions of dollars in shares using private financial information. Gene Levoff, who was one of the company's top lawyers until he was fired by Apple in September, allegedly made more than $600,000 (£467,000) in profits or avoided losses between 2011 and 2016. - Telegraph
