LightwaveRF shares light up on E.ON deal for Berkeley Homes

(Sharecast News) - LightwaveRF\'s shares climbed on Friday after the company signed a supply agreement with international energy company E.ON and housebuilder Berkeley Group for the latest range of \'smart home\' series lighting and power devices.
The supply agreement is part of a collaboration between E.ON and housebuilder Berkeley at their Kidbrooke Village development in Greenwich, London, with Lightwave\'s smart hub, light switches and power sockets to be offered to Berkeley\'s homebuyers as an upgrade package, to control lighting and power and to allow energy monitoring at device level through E.ON\'s Future Energy Home dashboard.

Jason Elliott, chief executive of LightwaveRF, said: \"We are excited to be involved in this important project with E.ON and Berkeley, which is thought to be the first of its kind in the UK. This is a great example of collaboration in order to deliver future, sustainable housing.\"

The AIM-traded company said its home-automation devices may be operated manually, by smartphone or tablet-based apps and also through Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa voice control.

\"The award of this contract represents a key development stage for Lightwave, supplying a major energy provider and home developer with a future-proof solution for smart controlled homes,\" said Elliott.

LightwaveRF\'s shares were up 6.67% at 8.00p at 0836 GMT.
