(Sharecast News) - The competition watchdog has announced an investigation into the supply of construction services in the UK.
"The CMA is investigating suspected anti-competitive arrangements in the supply of construction services in Great Britain," the Competition and Markets Authority said in a brief statement.
The investigation, which is at an early stage, concerns suspected infringements of the Competition Act 1998, the CMA said. The watchdog did not give names of companies that might be investigated and said it could yet conclude there were no infringements.
The CMA said it would gather information before deciding in September whether to proceed with or close the investigation.
