Hammerson CFO Drakesmith resigns

(Sharecast News) - Hammerson said on Tuesday that chief financial officer Timon Drakesmith has resigned after eight years in the role, and will leave the company later this year.
The property development and investment company said Drakesmith will remain on the board until he leaves to ensure an orderly handover. The process to appoint a successor will now begin.

David Tyler, chair of the board said: "On behalf of the board, I would like to thank Timon very much for his significant contribution to Hammerson. I have admired his hard work and commitment to both the business and its people. He will be leaving later in the year, with our best wishes for the future."

Drakesmith joined the company in May 2011 as CFO. Hammerson said that in his role as managing director of premium outlets, he had been "instrumental in expanding the company's unique strategic exposure to this fast-growing sector".

At 0955 BST, the shares were down 0.4% at 286.90p.
