Avanti Communications confirms successful satellite launch

(Sharecast News) - Avanti Communications Group on Wednesday announced the successful launch of the HYLAS 3 payload from Kourou, French Guiana.
The payload is carried on board the EDRS-C satellite, part of a space laser communications network being put together by the European Space Agency and aerospace giant Airbus
HYLAS 3 is the second successfully launched Avanti payload in as many years and will be used to deliver broadband and other data services to markets in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, bringing total fleet capacity over EMEA to 50 GHz.
Avanti Communications Group shares were down 2.68% at 1.48p at 1241 BST.
