Tuesday preview: UK Parliament, Bovis Homes in focus

(Sharecast News) - The market spotlight on Tuesday will continue to be on Parliament, as investors digest the results and implications of the previous night's vote on whether to hold a snap election.
And overnight, China's national bureau of statistics will release readings on consumer and factory gate price data for August.
Later in the session, the focus will shift towards the US labour market, as the National Federation of Independent Businesses's small business confidence gauge and the JOLTS labour market survey are published, at 1100 BST and 1500 BST, respectively.
Across the Channel meanwhile, French and Italian industrial production data for August are due out.
On the corporate side of things, investors will be watching out for first half results from homebuilder Bovis Homes.
UBS analyst Gregor Kuglitsch's forecasts were for revenues of £445.0m on an operating margin of 15.9% for profits before tax of £70.0m and earnings per share of 41.9p.
Kuglitsch said markets' focus will otherwise be on the company's update regarding trading in the backhalf of the year and on the progress made towards its medium-term targets.
Bovis has previously guided towards 4,000 completions a year over the medium-term and a minimum gross margin of 23.5% with returns on capital employed seen at 25.0%.
