Getbusy joins 'landmark' partnership with TaxCalc

(Sharecast News) - Getbusy on Monday entered a major reseller and integration agreement with accountancy and tax software provider Acorah Software Products, which trades under the name TaxCalc.
The agreement will see TaxCalc become a non-exclusive reseller of the AIM traded company's SmartVault product, while the two companies will also work together to integrate their products.
TaxCalc has an installed base of more than 8,000 accountancy practices and over 30,000 individual taxpayers in the UK.
Getbusy chief executive Daniel Rabie said SmartVault's cloud-based document management system will complement TaxCalc's innovative and award-winning tax and accountancy products, providing substantial workflow efficiency and security to customers' operations.
"Our partnership with TaxCalc is an important landmark in the geographic expansion of SmartVault, a core component of our strategy, and provides a substantial channel to market. The UK accounting and tax advisory market is buoyant and undergoing rapid technological change, of which TaxCalc and SmartVault are key enablers," said Rabie.
Getbusy shares were up 11.83% at 52.00p at 1536 GMT.
