Director dealings: Halfords chair ups stake

(Sharecast News) - Halfords revealed on Monday that chairman Keith Williams had purchased 50,000 ordinary shares in the car parts retailer.
Williams, who took over as chairman back in July 2018, acquired the shares on Friday at an average price of 154p each, for a total value of £77,000.
Just last week, Halfords maintained its full-year profit guidance as it posted a rise in sales over the festive period.
Sales increased 4.6% over the 14 weeks to 3 January, rising by 1.3% on a like-for-like basis thanks to a strong performance from its cycling segment and continued growth in auto centres and B2B.
As of 1625 GMT, Halfords shares were up 6.25% at 161.50p.
