Directors deals: Candy Ventures ups stake in Audioboom

(Sharecast News) - Candy Ventures sarl made off with another batch of Audioboom shares, sending the stock up to within a whisker of their 52-week highs.
The company 90%-owned by Nicholas Candy bought 100,000 shares for 245.0p apiece on 11 February, for a total transaction amount of ?245,000.
It was but the latest purchase by Candy Ventures, which now held a 26.29% stake in the audio platform.
Candy Ventures was a person closely associated with Steven Smith, the head Audioboom's remunerations committee, who ran one of the Candy Brothers' private investment funds.
The day before the purchase, the company had confirmed speculation in the weekend press that it was studying putting itself up for sale - among other options - which had also triggered a surge in the price of its stock.
Shares of Audioboom finished the session 12.24% higher at 275.0p.
