Week ahead: Coronavirus and G20 in focus

(Sharecast News) - The coming week will be front-loaded, with G20 finance ministers due to meet in Riyadh over the coming weekend.
That will be followed by the release of a spate of economic activity data in China, on Monday, including reports on fixed asset investment, industrial production, and retail sales covering the month of January.
Also due out at the start of the week is the IFO institute's German business confidence index for February.
On home shores, the spotlight will be on an assortment of monthly survey data, including for consumer confidence, house prices and shop prices, all on Thursday.
Stateside, a reading on fourth quarter gross domestic product and data on durable goods orders will be published on the same day, followed by the University of Michigan's consumer confidence survey on Friday.
The extent and speed at which the Chinese coronavirus was continuing to spread will continue to dominate over nearly all else both over the coming weekend as well as throughout the next week.
