(Sharecast News) - TV distribution and production group DCD Media swung to a profit in 2019 but said it had experienced a "quiet first quarter" so far in 2020.
DCD swung from an operating loss of ?70,000 to a profit of ?20,000 for the year ended 31 December, while gross profits ticked up 8.5% to ?1.78m. Revenues surged 27.3% to ?8.98m.
Net cash fell to ?1.59m from ?2.28m as direct costs shot up 33% to ?7.2m and administrative costs increased 3% year-on-year.
While the AIM-listed business said it has had "a steady start" to 2020, DCD stated that it had witnessed a quiet first quarter but noted that this has tended to be the case throughout the company's history.
As of 1120 GMT, DCD shares had slumped 11.11% to 200p.
