Hurricane Energy gets extension to commitments at Lincoln

(Sharecast News) - Hurricane Energy updated the market on its planned activities in the Lincoln subarea of licence P1368, part of the Greater Warwick Area, on Wednesday.
The AIM-traded firm said that in light of the Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic, it requested extensions to certain licence commitments at Lincoln.

It said the Oil and Gas Authority responded "positively" to those requests, extending the deadline for the start of the Greater Warwick Area joint venture's commitment well on Lincoln to 30 June 2022, and extending the deadline for plugging and abandoning well 205/26b-14, or Lincoln Crestal, to 30 June 2021.

"We would like to thank the Oil and Gas Authority for their flexibility regarding the timing of activities planned at Lincoln during these challenging times," said chief executive officer Dr Robert Trice.

At 1304 BST, shares in Hurricane Energy were down 1.18% at 6.7p.
