State error sees comment period pushed for Active Energy plant

(Sharecast News) - Biomass-based renewable energy company Active Energy said on Wednesday that the online event for public comments on the construction and air permit for its 'CoalSwitch' plant in Lumberton, North Carolina, has been postponed to 22 June.
The AIM-traded firm said that at the same time, the public comment period would now close on 26 June.

"The Division of Air Quality in North Carolina informed Active Energy that the change in dates is required to comply with the minimum notice period regulation," the board said in its statement.

"[It] is the result of an administrative error that occurred when the state sought to publish the public information in the local newspaper."

At 1101 BST, shares in Active Energy Group were down 0.46% at 0.43p.
