Westminster Group trials fever screening at Stockholm airport

(Sharecast News) - Security technology and managed services company Westminster Group has conducted a successful trial of its fever screening solutions in partnership with aircraft handling firm Menzies Aviation and its client Air France, it announced on Wednesday, at Stockholm's primary airport, Arlanda.
The AIM-traded firm said that, using its fever screening solution, Menzies would continue to conduct operational trials with Air France and other clients' in the coming weeks, in order to "fine tune" an effective delivery to the new layer of safety and security.

Feedback from the first live trial was said to be "extremely positive", with all passengers screened as they presented their boarding passes at the departure gate.

The trial at Stockholm Arlanda Airport was Westminster's first trial at a Scandinavian airport, as it seeked to widen its client database and airport presence.

"Working with Menzies Aviation on the trial has been excellent," said general manager Hamish Russell.

"We have worked hard in order to supply them with the correct solution for their fever screening requirements that is fit for purpose and has the least impact on an already complex procedure, and within the required time frame."

Russell said Westminster's fever screening solutions had been supplied to a number of industry sectors in a bid to to detect, mitigate and defeat the spread of Covid-19.

"Westminster continues to add to its fever screening offering ensuring products are adaptable, cost effective and can be implemented and upgraded into existing processes or technology."

At 1600 BST, shares in Westminster Group were up 4.44% at 10.97p.
