Friday preview: UK, euro area services sector PMIs in focus

(Sharecast News) - With US financial markets closed at the end of the week in observance of the 4 July holiday, the spotlight will be firmly on the results of services sector survey results on both sides of the Channel.
Consensus is for IHS Markit's services sector Purchasing Managers' Index for June to be revised up marginally from a preliminary reading of 47.0 to 47.1.

Across the Channel meanwhile, the comparable PMI from the same survey compiler is expected to be unchanged at 47.3, although traders may be hoping for better as lockdown measures across the bloc continued to be lifted throughout the week.
