Plus500 reaches sponsorship deal with Legia Warsaw

(Sharecast News) - Trading platform Plus500 has inked a deal that will see it become Polish national champions Legia Warsaw's main sponsor for the next two seasons.
As part of the agreement, the Plus500 logo will feature on the front of the Legia Warsaw official jersey and training shirts for both national and overseas matches, giving the firm access to a range of branding rights.

The FTSE 250-listed firm's deal, which will run alongside its longstanding partnership as the main sponsor of Spanish football club Atlético Madrid, will initially run over the 2020-21 season, with an option to extend for the 2022-23 season.

Chief executive David Zruia said: "We are delighted to be partnering with Legia Warsaw, a club with a great legacy and an excellent fan base, continuing our commitment to support professional sports and adding them to our already formidable bench of high-quality sponsorship agreements with national champions across the world.

"Our partnership with Legia is expected to further strengthen our ability to increase our international brand recognition and grow our global customer base, as well as driving brand awareness in Poland, an important market with great potential."

As of 0840 BST, Plus500 shares were up 0.080% at 1,257.0p.
