C&C's new CEO David Forde to start in November

(Sharecast News) - C&C's new chief executive David Forde will arrive from Heineken on 2 November, the drinks company said.
The maker of Magners cider and Tennent's lager announced Forde's appointment in July and said he would join in early 2021 at the latest. The FTSE 250 company's shares rose 1.4% to 222.50p at 08:33 BST.

Forde is serving his notice period at Heineken, where he has worked for 32 years. He has been managing director of Heineken UK for the past seven years.

His arrival will end almost 10 months for C&C without a CEO. Chairman Stewart Gilliland has been running the company since Stephen Glancey quit in January. When Forde arrives Gilliland will go back to being non-executive chairman.

"Further to the CEO succession announcement of 9 July 2020, C&C ... confirms that David Forde will take up the role of group chief executive officer on 2 November 2020 and will join the board as an executive director on the same date," C&C said.
