Origin Enterprises appoints new finance chief

(Sharecast News) - Agricultural services producer Origin Enterprises announced the appointment of TJ Kelly as its new chief financial officer on Wednesday.

The AIM-traded firm said Kelly would join it no later than March 2021, following the completion of a customary notice period, and would be appointed an executive director.

"Following a thorough recruitment process, we are delighted to welcome an executive of TJ's calibre and expertise to Origin as we prepare for our next phase of growth," said chairman Rose Hynes.

"TJ brings a wealth of public company experience across multiple industries and markets to the Group, including the global agriculture and food production sector.

"He has a proven track record in financial leadership, operational transformation and strategy implementation."

Origin said Kelly was currently CFO and an executive director of hostel booking agency Hostelworld Group, having previously worked in the United States and Ireland with Glanbia for 12 years, where he held a number of senior leadership roles, including CFO of their performance nutrition business and group financial controller with responsibility for investor relations.

Prior to Glanbia, Kelly held positions in Microsoft's European operations centre in Dublin, GE Capital in Amsterdam, and Eircom.

He qualified as a chartered accountant with PricewaterhouseCoopers in 1995.

At 1334 BST, shares in Origin Enterprises were down 0.8% in London, at €3.10.
