Avon Rubber wins $93m US army helmet contract

(Sharecast News) - Avon Rubber said it had won a new sole-source contract worth up to $93m (£73.2m) to develop and supply the US army with new helmets.
The contract will follow on from the existing low-rate initial production contract which ends in 2021.

In a separate announcement, Avon said it now expected its acquisition of Team Wendy, a Cleveland-based maker of athletic and military helmets, to complete in the first quarter of fiscal 2021 after refiling regulatory documents.
