(Sharecast News) - Spain's MasMovil said on Friday that it had not been approached by Vodafone following a report the London-listed telephone operator had begun talks with the three buyout funds that recently took it over.
Spanish newspaper El Economista cited sources earlier as saying that a deal could value MasMovil at €6bn, including debt.
However, MasMovil told Reuters that it "had not had any interaction whatsoever with Vodafone in relation to a potential corporate transaction".
A spokeswoman for the private equity companies also said there had been "no conversations whatsoever" with Vodafone.
