Totally wins £16m in urgent care contract extensions

(Sharecast News) - Healthcare services provider Totally reported on Friday that its urgent care division had been awarded several contract extensions, worth a total of about £16m.
The AIM-traded firm said the extensions included those awarded to its wholly-owned subsidiary Vocare for the provision of integrated urgent care, GP out-of-hours, and urgent treatment centres located in the North East of England and Yorkshire.

It said the extensions were to 30 September 2023, carrying a value of £13m.

"During the last 18 months we have stood shoulder to shoulder with the NHS as it responded to challenges presented by the Covid-19 pandemic," said chief executive officer Wendy Lawrence.

"As society begins to return to normal, the challenges faced by the NHS continue."

Lawrence said a "significant increase" in demand and recovery plans for the NHS had been well reported.

"To avoid service disruption for thousands of patients, continuity is essential, and we are pleased that we can continue to support our NHS colleagues during this extended period."

At 1335 BST, shares in Totally were up 5.8% at 37.03p.
