FTSE 250 movers: Liontrust roars higher; Redde Northgate surges

(Sharecast News) - London's FTSE 250 was up 1.6% at 22,882.22 in afternoon trade on Wednesday.
Liontrust Asset Management was sitting pretty at the top of the index after it posted a 93% increase in first-half adjusted pre-tax profit to £43.1m.
Vehicle rental company Redde Northgate surged after it reported a jump in interim profit and revenue as it hailed a strong performance across the group. In the six months to the end of October, underlying pre-tax profit rose 94.4% to £78.9m, while total revenue including vehicle sales grew 10.2% to £612.9m. Trading was ahead of the board's expectations, the company said.
Drax advanced after the biomass energy provider said it expects annual core earnings to be at the top end of current forecasts driven by increased power generation.
Wagamama owner Restaurant Group, budget airlines Wizz and easyJet and Cineworld were all up, recovering from recent Omicron-fuelled losses.
