Director dealings: Director buys in to President spin-out, ICG finance chief covers tax

(Sharecast News) - Newly-founded hydrogen and ammonia producer Atome Energy was at the top of the buyers' list on Wednesday, as independent non-executive director Mary-Rose de Calladares bought 93,750 shares.
The firm, which was spun-out from President Energy and admitted to AIM on 30 December, said de Valladares paid 80p per share, valuing the exercise at £75,000.
It confirmed the shares were the first and only interest the director had in the company, meaning she now held 0.2% of its issued share capital.
"As a green hydrogen and ammonia specialist, I am pleased to demonstrate my confidence in Atome by making this investment," de Valladares said in the company's filing.
"Atome is well placed, with its management team and strong key shareholder base, to be at the forefront of the green hydrogen industry and I am very pleased to be a part of this exciting journey with investors."
The company explained that the purchase was made on 4 January because, as a United States resident, de Valladares could not participate in its fundraising before its admission to trading because of US Securities Act rules.
It confirmed the shares would be subject to the lock-in and orderly market deeds as set out in its admission document.
Intermediate Capital Group was alone on the selling side of the ledger, with chief financial and operating officer Vijay Bharadia vesting 5,732 shares under the company's omnibus plan.
The FTSE 100 firm said that, to cover his income tax and national insurance liabilities, Bharadia sold 2,525 of those shares for 2,208p apiece.
That netted the executive £55,752 to cover his HMRC bill, leaving him with a net of 2,847 shares following the exercise.
ICG said following the vesting and part-sale, Bharadia and his associates were now interested in 29,774 of its shares, representing less than 0.01% of its issued capital.
At 1534 GMT, shares in Atome Energy were up 6.95% at 80.75p, while those in Intermediate Capital Group were down 0.5% at 2,197p.
