Wednesday preview: Fed's Powell, German and Spanish CPI in focus

(Sharecast News) - All eyes on Wednesday will be on the heads of the Bank of England, US Federal Reserve and European Central Bank who will be in attendance at the ECB Forum in Sintra, Portugal.
For his part, Fed chairman Jerome Powell is expected to deliver a speech at 1430 BST.
Against that backdrop, investors will be digesting preliminary consumer price data due out in Belgium, Germany and Spain.
The latter, in particular, may prove a talking point during the session with economists at Barclays Research that harmonised CPI in the euro area's fourth largest economy accelerated from the 8.5% clip observed in May to 9.6% for June.
Also due out are readings for euro area money supply growth in May and on consumer and industrial confidence in the single currency bloc in June.
No major economic releases are scheduled in the UK.
