DS Smith appoints Biffa CFO as new finance director

(Sharecast News) - Packaging group DS Smith has appointed Richard Pike, the chief financial officer of waste management firm Biffa, as its new group finance director.
Pike, who has been CEO of Biffa for the last four years, will succeed Adrian Marsh, who is due to retire next summer. Pike "has enjoyed a highly successful career in finance, including a decade of leadership roles in manufacturing," DS Smith said.
Chief executive Miles Roberts said: "We are delighted that Richard is joining us at a very exciting time for DS Smith. Richard has an excellent track record as a CFO in manufacturing businesses and great experience in the recycling and sustainability sectors. He will play a central role in the next chapter of growth for the company."
The final date of Pike's appointment will be confirmed and his election put to the September 2023 annual general meeting for approval.
