(Sharecast News) - London's FTSE 100 was down 0.7% at 7,575.84 in afternoon trade on Thursday.
Coca-Cola HBC, Imperial Brands, Kingfisher, DCC and Intertek all fell as they traded without entitlement to the dividend.
On the upside, British Gas owner Centrica was the top riser on the index after Ofgem said it would be cutting the energy price cap from £3,280 to £2,074 from 1 July.
