Week ahead: US PCE inflation data, consumer confidence in focus

(Sharecast News) - All eyes over the coming week will be on the latest inflation data due out in the U.S..
On Friday, the Department of Commerce will publish its price deflators for personal consumption expenditures covering the month of February.
Worth noting, the core PCE price deflator is the inflation gauge by which the Federal Reserve defines its price stability target.
Also due out during the week in the U.S. are durable goods orders figures for February, on Tuesday, and a final reading for the University of Michigan's consumer confidence survey for March, on Thursday.
In Germany meanwhile, Tuesday will see the release of consultancy GfK's consumer confidence index for April, followed by retail sales data for February on Thursday.
Euro area M3 money supply figures for February will be published on Thursday.
Overnight during that same session investors will be watching for the latest Tokyo consumer price data for March.
UK markets will be closed for trading on 29 March and 1 April in observance of Good Friday and Easter, respectively.
