(Sharecast News) - Metals Exploration said in an update on Monday that gold processing has resumed at its Runruno mine in the Philippines after mains power was restored on Friday evening, earlier than expected, following disruption caused by Super-typhoon Uwan.
The AIM-traded company said the outage resulted in a five-day halt to production but confirmed that operations restarted as soon as power returned to the site.
Metals Exploration, which also holds assets in Nicaragua, did not provide an estimate of the impact on output but said the interruption was solely related to the loss of mains supply.
The company reported no further operational issues as processing activities resumed.
At 1235 GMT, shares in Metals Exploration were up 1.63% at 12.5p.
