AVB Overview

A Real Estate Investment Trust, AvalonBay develops, buys and manages apartment communities in the NE, Mid-Atlantic, Midwest, Pacific NW and California areas of the U.S. As at the start of 2008, it had interests in over 50,000 homes, which are in over 180 communities. It holds rights to develop almost 50 more communities.
