The Henderson Smaller Companies Investment Trust plc is a United Kingdom-based investment company. The Company's investment objective is to maximize shareholders' total returns (capital and income) by investing mainly in smaller companies that are quoted in the United Kingdom. The Company's investments include shares, securities and related financial instruments, including derivatives. The Company invests in various sectors, including software and computer services, investment banking and brokerage services, industrial support services, electronic and electrical equipment, household goods and home construction, travel and leisure, pharmaceuticals and biotechnology, construction and materials, retailers, real estate investment trusts, finance and credit services, aerospace and defense, chemicals, industrial engineering, personal goods, and others.
