The Fund's investment objective is to achieve capital growth though investment in UK companies.

View on Past Performance

The fund invests in good quality UK companies with strong growth potential. Specifically, we focus on the larger, better-known companies in the market as these can be analysed more effectively. This enables us to gain a good understanding of the strength of a company's balance sheet, the amount of cash that it is generating and the value of the company's assets. It also provides us with a good picture of what will be driving future profits growth.

Future Expectations

Overall, we take a long-term view on companies, enabling us to exploit the more short-term nature of equity markets. Share prices tend to be driven by immediate news flow such that the longer-term prospects of a company can often be ignored. By taking a longer-term view, we are able to identify companies whose strengths are not yet being adequately reflected in the share price. Ultimately, our aim is to buy cheaper than average companies with better than average prospects.
