Merchants Trust Overview

The Merchants Trust PLC is a United Kingdom-based investment company. The Company's objective is to provide an above average level of income and income growth together with long term capital growth through a policy of investing mainly in higher-yielding large United Kingdom companies. Its performance is benchmarked against Financial Times Stock Exchange (FTSE) All-Share Index. The Company invests in various industry sectors, such as oil gas and consumable fuels, capital markets, independent power and renewable electricity producers, banks, professional services, tobacco, specialty retail, food products, diversified financial services, pharmaceuticals, personal products, electric utilities, insurance, and metals and mining. Its alternative investment fund manager is Allianz Global Investors GmbH.
