Shell challenges Venture Global arbitration ruling in NY Supreme Court - report

(Sharecast News) - Shell has challenged its defeat in an arbitration case against US liquefied natural gas producer Venture Global in the New York Supreme Court weeks after rival BP won a similar $1bn-plus arbitration, the Reuters news agency reported on Tuesday.

(Sharecast News) - Analysts at Berenberg hiked their target price on oil and gas giant BP from 490p to 525p on Wednesday after the group reported "another strong set of results" for its third quarter, driven by good operational performance, rising production volumes and steady progress on cost-reduction programmes.

(Sharecast News) - Oil titan BP has beaten market forecasts with its third-quarter earnings and said it has made progress on cost-cutting and strengthening its balance sheet, while full-year divestment proceeds are now expected to be higher than previously expected.
