LONDON (ShareCast) - BAE Systems climbed the FTSE 100 ladder following reports that long-awaited orders from Gulf states for Eurofighter Typhoon jets may arrive this year.

ITV advanced after the TV broadcaster announced it was acquiring a controlling stake in Thinkfactory Media, a US producer of reality, entertainment and drama shows.

Sainsbury rallied following a report that it was the only one of the big four grocers in the UK to increase its market share in the 12 weeks to June 9th.

Polymetal International’s shares slumped after Citigroup reduced its target price from 577p to 525p and retained its ‘sell’ recommendation.

United Utilities Group retreated after RBC Capital issued a ‘underperform’ rating and a target price of $10.21.

Severn Trent plunged following reports the water company’s Chief Executive, Tony Wray, received a 29% pay increase.
