LONDON (ShareCast) - (Sharecast News) - National Express announced its decision to change its name to Mobico Group.
The name change would be effective from early June 2023.
Its new name would better reflect the business's international nature and its range of activities in mass transit.
"Whilst National Express is a highly valued consumer brand, Mobico better represents our multi-modal operations, global reach and future ambitions," National Express Group chief executive officer, Ignacio Garat, said.
"We remain focused on providing best-in-class services and delivering our Evolve strategy, with the intent of establishing Mobico Group as the world's premier shared mobility operator."
However, the UK national coach network and certain other businesses would continue to operate as National Express.
So too, its operating subsidiaries would keep their well-known customer-facing brands.
