LONDON (ShareCast) - (Sharecast News) - Zephyr Energy announced the start of drilling operations for the extended lateral section of the State 36-2 LNW-CC-R well on Monday.
The AIM-traded firm said the lateral section would be drilled horizontally from near the base of the existing wellbore, targeting an additional 5,500 feet of the Cane Creek reservoir.

It said the drilling phase was expected to take about 30 days.

Following completion of drilling, the Nabors rig would be demobilised and equipment for the well's completion and production testing would be deployed to the site.

Zephyr anticipated results from the production test would be available by the end of March.

At 1507 GMT, shares in Zephyr Energy were up 1.47% at 3.45p.
