LONDON (ShareCast) - (Sharecast News) - Chesnara has appointed insurance industry veteran Luke Savage as chairman of the life and pensions company to take over from Peter Mason with immediate effect.
Savage was chief financial officer at Standard Life Aberdeen from 2014 to 2017 and before that was director of finance and operations at Lloyd's of London. He is a non-executive director of Numis, DWF and Liverpool Victoria Financial Services.
Mason has retired after 16 years on the board and 11 years as chairman of the company, which buys up books of old insurance business. The company said he had presided over expansion in Sweden and the Netherlands and 14 years of unbroken dividend growth.
Savage said: "Chesnara is a very well placed and successful group operating in the life and pensions markets in its established segments of the UK, Netherlands and Sweden. I am excited to be taking on the role of chairman at this stage of the company's development."
