LONDON (ShareCast) - (Sharecast News) - Renewable electricity supplier Good Energy revealed on Friday that Zap-Map had partnered with the RAC to help electric vehicle drivers who run out of battery find a charge point.
Good Energy said the Zap-Map app, in which it holds a stake, will be distributed to the RAC's 1,600 patrols, enabling them to locate the nearest available, suitable, publicly accessible charge point for members to get their vehicles recharged and on the road again.
Chief executive Nigel Pocklington said: "This partnership is another great example of collaboration within the automotive industry to help decarbonise the sector by providing services for the increasing number of electric vehicle drivers on the roads. It will further increase the number of drivers using Zap-Map and reinforces its position as the UK's leading electric vehicle mapping app."
As of 0955 GMT, Good Energy shares were up 2.62% at 297.60p.
