LONDON (ShareCast) - (Sharecast News) - Billington Holdings' structural steel division, Billington Structures, on Tuesday won two contracts with a combined value of £30m.
Under the terms of the new contracts, Billington will provide steelwork for a large, local town centre redevelopment scheme which involves the construction of a number of new retail and leisure facilities, as well as supplying structural steelwork for a large distribution warehouse in the North East of England.
Mark Smith, chief executive of Billington, said: "Billington, and all its trading subsidiaries, continue to trade well and we are pleased to be able to report the success in securing these two significant projects, further cementing Billington as the steelwork contractor of choice."
The AIM traded company said that the new contracts represented continued momentum following the award of £41m-worth of new contracts in November 2018, though there is no change to the board's expectations for the financial period ended 31 December 2019.
"As a significant employer in the area, our involvement in this major local project is one that we are particularly looking forward to successfully delivering, whilst the planned distribution warehouse is a further endorsement of our ability to deliver large scale and complex projects," said Smith.
Billington Holdings' shares were up 6.18% at 358.90p at 1324 BST.
