LONDON (ShareCast) - (Sharecast News) - Video games developer and publisher Frontier Developments announced a number of changes to its board of directors on Wednesday, with David Braben moving to a new role as president and founder, as Jonny Watts promoted to chief executive officer after 10 years as chief creative officer.
The AIM-traded firm said David Wilton would join the board as a non-executive director and chairman-designate, and would become chairman in December when David Gammon retires from the board after serving a full term.
James Dixon was being promoted to chief operating officer, and Jessica Bourne to general counsel and company secretary.
Frontier said David Wilton would join the board on 22 September following its full-year financial results on 21 September, while all other role changes were effective on Wednesday.
"Frontier is very important to me, and I am delighted to be able to pass on my CEO responsibilities to the exceptionally talented Jonny Watts, who I know will do a terrific job," said David Braben.
"He has the perfect combination of creative leadership and gaming vision to build on the excellent momentum in the business.
"I am looking forward to my new role at Frontier, and this change enables me to focus on our longer-term strategic opportunities."
At 1600 BST, shares in Frontier Developments were up 1.8% at 1,582p.
