LONDON (ShareCast) - (Sharecast News) - Landore Resources updated the market on progress of its drilling programme for 2020-2021 on the BAM Gold Deposit at the Junior Lake Property in Ontario, Canada on Monday, reporting that additional step-out and infill drilling within the exploration area for 800 metres to the east and along strike of the deposit had continued to intersect widespread ore-grade gold.
The AIM-traded firm said the results of the drilling, together with the earlier drilling in the area, would now be modelled with an aim of identifying possible new shoots.
It added that, due to an "unprecedented" severe fire hazard in northern Ontario, with more than 150 fires burning in the province, the provincial government issued an order under the Fire Prevention Act impacting industrial operations including drilling on 24 July.
As a result, Landore suspended drilling on 1 August after completing hole 0421-818.
Landore said it would resume drilling at Felix, its "highly-prospective" exploration area to the west and along strike of the BAM deposit, in October.
At 0954 BST, shares in Landore Resources were down 2.33% at 25.15p.
