LONDON (ShareCast) - (Sharecast News) - Sunrise Resources announced on Wednesday that the air quality operating permit (AQOP) for the operation of a mineral processing plant for its CS Pozzolan-Perlite Project in Nevada has been granted by the Nevada Division of Environmental Protection.
The AIM-traded firm said no adverse comments or objections were received during the public comment period, which ended on 11 September.

It said the award was the last of three key permits required to operate the mine and start‑up mineral processing plant, and followed the issue of the mine permit by the Federal Bureau of Land Management, and the reclamation permit by the Nevada Bureau of Mining Regulation and Reclamation.

Following the capital raising by its broker Peterhouse Capital, which closed on 26 August, the company said it was now fully funded for the foreseeable future, and was moving forward with its planned programmes for the CS Project.

Those included trial mining, processing and offtake negotiations; site engineering; plant design and costing; infill drilling and drill testing of the north east zone; and detailed financial planning and project funding arrangements.

It said that, in line with current market interest in gold and silver, it was also planning to drill test certain of its precious metal projects.

"This is further good news for the CS Project," said executive chairman Patrick Cheetham.

"The permitting delays that we experienced late last year and earlier this year are now behind us and we are pleased to see that market interest in our potential products remains strong.

"We expect to be delivering test samples to a range of customers over the next few weeks for testing as part of the offtake negotiations."

At 0948 BST, shares in Sunrise Resources were up 10% at 0.3p.
