LONDON (ShareCast) - (Sharecast News) - Hospitality ceramics producer Churchill China said in an update on Wednesday that the record demand it reported in its preliminary results in April had continued.
The AIM-traded firm, which was holding its annual general meeting, said its order book remained "healthy", with the board confident in its ability to deliver an improved year-on-year performance in 2022.
Chairman Alan McWalter noted the company's announcement last month of the retirement of non-executive director Angela Bromfield from the board, effective from the end of the AGM.
"I would like to reiterate the company's thanks for her work over the last six years and wish her well for the future.
"As noted in our announcement of 19 May, recruitment processes are underway to both identify a successor to Angela and also to reinforce independent representation on the board."
At 1310 BST, shares in Churchill China were down 0.86% at 1,388p.
