LONDON (ShareCast) - (Sharecast News) - IT services firm 1Spatial has been awarded a £600,000 multi-year contract with the Rural Payments Agency, an executive agency of the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs.
1Spatial said on Tuesday that the award included £400,000 in software licenses over two years, adding to growing levels of recurring, high margin software revenue, with the balance consisting of services revenue.
RPA, an existing 1Spatial customer, will use the firm's 1Edit mobile application to enable the collection of "accurate and correctly formatted location data" via mobile devices while out in the field, enabling compliance to be checked "swiftly".
Chief executive Claire Milverton said: "We are delighted to be supporting our existing customer RPA and Defra in the modernisation of their inspections in the field. By using our mobile technology, which includes 1Integrate as a core component, RPA can be assured that the location data they are capturing is accurate and compliant with Defra Schemes.
"This is another great example of the quality and breadth of the 1Spatial platform and our ability to expand our customer relationships, layering on additional recurring software revenue."
As of 0905 GMT, 1Spatial shares were up 0.99% at 51.0p.
