LONDON (ShareCast) - (Sharecast News) - Nutrition company Science in Sport launched its new sports drink, Beta Fuel, designed for long endurance events.
Beta Fuel, manufactured by SIS at its innovation centre in Lancashire, delivers "very high" carbohydrate levels in an isotonic solution and has been tested by the likes of British Cycling and Team Sky, which used the substance during its iconic Stage 19 win at the 2018 Giro D'Italia.
Tour de France, Giro d'Italia and Vuelta a España champion Chris Froome, said, "Science in Sport are committed to making sports nutrition more effective and more convenient - and they've certainly produced the goods once again with the Beta Fuel product."
SIS developed Beta Fuel in an attempt to "maximise carbohydrate absorption" while minimising the risk of gastrointestinal distress with its PH-neutral isotonic solution.
Stephen Moon, Science in Sport's chief executive, said, "We are proud to launch this industry-leading, science-based sports nutrition product. Like most of our range, it is the result of close collaboration with elite athletes, teams and sports scientists from all over the world. It is our aim to offer all of our products to all athletes; our customers can use exactly what champions use in a broad range of sports."
As of 0910 BST, SIS shares had dipped 1.27% to 78p.
